Cutting Board - "Art Series" - Tasmanian Oak inset with slices of Gray Ironbark
Hi, my name is David, thank you for visiting my store !
I'm a retired "Old School" Carpenter and Joiner. The Bonnie Timber Board journey began during a long lazy lunch, when I saw that our food being presented on a soulless, piece of mystery wood,
Determined that beautiful food deserved so much better, I was soon creating Timber Boards that were not just functional, but also display the natural beauty of wood textures, grains and their vibrant colours.
I understand that buying a Timber Board online can be a little daunting, however, be assured, I have done my best to describe this Board accurately.
This Board:
One of my "Art Series" Boards crafted from beautiful Tasmanian Oak inset with slices of Gray Ironbark. I have crafted the Board to be Double sided - so you can use underside to cut on and with upper side with the decorative sliced Gray Ironbark to serve on if you wish - so a two for one Board !.
The slices of Gray Ironbark are individually shaped and adhered to the Body board and then wrapped in Black epoxy resin resulting in a solid, hardy Board ready for years of Kitchen and entertainment action !

Inset Timber - Gray Ironbark [Eucalyptus paniculata] - Grey Ironbark is a premium native hardwood. It is a particularly hard, strong and durable timber. Indigenous Australians use it to make spear throwers and boil its bark for treating sores. The timber's appearance ranges from reddish to dark brown heartwood. Grain is usually tight and straight. A very heavy timber, at 1120 kilograms per cubic meter.
Dimensions: 430 mm long x 285 mm wide x 33 mm thick.

Finish: Every Bonnie Timber Board is repeatably fine sanded in between coats of a high quality, food safe, hard wax oil, then finally hand sanded with extremely fine sandpaper and hand buffed with our wood butter, a small can of which is included with the Board you purchase.
Please note: Each Bonnie Timber Board is a one of a kind. Wood is a natural material and may have knots or grain variations that are not depicted. These variances should not be viewed as imperfections, but as qualities that make each piece unique.
