This Lovely Charcuterie Board was Handcrafted from small slab of solid age old Blackwood. Following closely to the original cut shape of the rough cut slab I removed several splits and defects to arrive at this flowing organic shape.
After several hours of sanding and finishing the stunning natural colours of Blackwood came apparent making for subtle yet eye catching Charcuterie Board.
Timber Details:
Body Timber - Blackwood : Although called ‘blackwood,’ the wood is not really black, rather it’s heartwood is a rich golden brown. Blackwood is a medium-sized Australian hardwood that grows in the wetter areas of theEastern states. This is sometimes complimented by reddish streaks or a narrow band of darker colour, indicative of the growth rings. The sapwood is much paler in appearance.

Finish: Every Bonnie Timber Board is repeatably fine sanded in between coats of a high quality, food safe, hard wax oil, then finally hand sanded with extremely fine sandpaper and hand buffed with our wood butter, a small can of which is included with the Board you purchase.
