HEY! I'M DAVID, THE CRAFTSMAN AT BONNIE TIMBER BOARDS

Bonnie Timber Boards all came about during a long lazy lunch, when a soulless  cutting board sitting on the table peaked my interest. As an old school Carpenter and Joiner by Trade [now retired] I had a closer look at the Cutting Board, it was mass produced [and that's ok, it fills a market!] made from mystery wood and coated in a mystery finish and I just knew we deserved a much better Cutting Board for our food !

Soon handcrafted timber Cutting Boards started to appear from my workshop. I found I really loved being back working with wood again. Quickly timber choice became very important to me, so that each Bonnie Timber Board is characterful with it's own story to tell and the knowledge of where each piece of timber has originated from.

I spend hours each week seeking out pieces of naturally tough, deeply characterful timbers from smaller eclectic timber sellers, searching for the different and the unusual timbers as well as interesting pieces. Tasmanian Huon Pine, Blackwood, Myrtle and Oak, Victorian Ash, NSW Blue Gum, Red Iron Bark, American Oak, White Ash and Walnut and the unusual Birds Eye String Bark, all favourites for their rich variation in texture, graining and bold natural colour.

My mission and passion is to craft individualistic Timber Boards. Boards that are eye catching, one-off pieces of hardy timber art that you will be proud of and have pleasure in using in your home for many years. My hope is that you'll make many fond memories with Family and Friends, a Bonnie Timber Boards & me,

Cheers,
David
