One of my Art Deco Design Inspired Cutting Boards, crafted from base layer of Tasmanian Oak with an upper layer of End Grain cut slices of American White Oak and Hickory. Each Slice of Timber is adhered to the Base Layer in a geometric pattern to best display the beautiful Timber graining.
The Timber slices of the Upper Layer is wrapped clear epoxy resin resulting in a hardy Board ready for years of Kitchen and entertainment action !
Timber Details:
Body Timber - Tasmanian Oak: is a premium Australian hardwood timber encompassing three species that grow in the mountainous areas of Tasmania. Warm, dense and resilient, Tasmanian oak is light in colour, varying from straw to reddish brown with intermediate shades of cream to pink
Top Layer of End Grain cut Timber Slices:
American White Oak: American white oak is a hardwood with a light to dark brown heartwood, mostly straight grained with a medium to coarse texture, with figure and distinctive growth rings.
American Hickory – [Carya glabra] - is a hardwood that is native to the eastern States of the USA, considered to be one of the most important trees of the eastern forests, due to its combination of strength, toughness, hardness and stiffness.

Finish: Every Bonnie Timber Board is repeatably fine sanded in between coats of a high quality, food safe, hard wax oil, then finally hand sanded with extremely fine sandpaper and hand buffed with our wood butter, a small can of which is included with the Board you purchase.
