Functional Wood Art - Inlayed Cutting Board or Charcuterie Board

 Something a bit different,

I don't know quite what was going through my mind when I started crafting this Board. In many ways it looks like a Fern or perhaps a Bunch of flowers, what ever you may see in it, it's certainly different and a sure conversation starter.

Size: Length 46.5 cm - Width 30.5 cm x Thickness 3.8 cm 

Weight:  Approximately 3.8 Kilo's

Number of Separate Wood Pieces: Approximately: 938 separate pieces of wood

Time to complete: Approximately 6.8 Hours 

Base Timber: Messmate.

Insert Timbers: Numerous end grain cut dowel pieces of various timber species including but limited to : Alaskan Yellow Cedar,Purple Heart, Brush Box, Huon Pine, Heart Sassafras and Rose Gum. 

Structure: All the separate wood pieces have been enveloped in a quality clear epoxy resin [that is generally considered Food Safe after it has cured] resulting in a very solid Board ready for years of service  

The Board has been surfaced and fine sanded, then completed with two coats of quality Fiddes Hard Wax Oil, a Food Safe Finish. 

Finally, the Board is polished with our Wood Butter, a can of which is included with your Board purchase. 

Please note: Each Bonnie Timber Board is a one of a kind. Wood is a natural material and may have knots or grain variations that are not depicted. These variances should not be viewed as imperfections, but as characters that make each piece unique.
