I've named this Board “Old Ted Creek”.
I was up near Daylesford taking a wander along the side Sailors Creek and found a junction with a very small creek [perhaps better described as a run off] but I like the way the colours of all rocks and stones sparkled under the clear water.
Proudly Designed and Handcrafted in our small Bonbeach workshop.
Size: Length 39 cm - Width 28.5 cm x Thickness 3.2 cm
Weight: 2.6 Kilo's
Base Timber: American White Oak.
Insert Timbers: Numerous end grain cut dowel pieces of various timber species including but limited to : Purple Heart, Conkerberry, Redgum, Mulberry, Rose Gum, Blackwood, Huon Pine, American Oak and Black Heart Sassafras.
Structure: All the separate wood pieces have been enveloped in a quality clear epoxy resin [that is generally considered Food Safe after it has cured] resulting in a very solid Board ready for years of service
Number of Separate Wood Pieces: Approximately: 268 separate pieces of wood
Time to complete: Approximately 3.8 Hours
The Board has been surfaced and fine sanded, then completed with two coats of quality Fiddes Hard Wax Oil, a Food Safe Finish.
Finally, the Board is polished with our Wood Butter, a can of which is included with your Board purchase.
